Because of the involvement of 1116 farmers and ranchers throughout North America, the 2005 Farm Market Annual Survey was an incredible success and it is now closed.
We received 1015 fully completed surveys and another 33 that were almost complete.
THANK YOU ALL! |
|
We would like to thank our co-sponsors including North American Farmers' Direct Marketing Association (NAFDMA), Texas Department of Agriculture, Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS), Michigan Agricultural Experiment Station and Michigan State University Extension. We would also like to thank the many provincial and state organizations that encouraged their members and clients to participate.

Analysis of the data will begin immediately. Within two days, all respondents who completed the survey will receive an email reporting the geographic distribution of the respondents and the percentage of NAFDMA members and the size of farms and ranches that responded. At that time we will also announce the winners of the different incentives.
|
If you responded to this year's survey you will receive an email in February requesting that you review and up-date this year's responses to reflect changes at your farm or ranch. We will also be adding a new section to the survey each year dealing with special and emerging issues. If you would like to recommend issues and topics email Ed Mahoney at mahoneye@msu.edu |
If you did not participate in the 2005 Survey, but wish to be included in 2006, click on the link below and you will be taken to a 1-2 minute to complete registration page. You will then receive and email in February with a link to the 2006 Survey.
|
We would encourage state, provincial and regional farm marketing and agricultural tourism organizations to recruit your members to participate in the 2006 Survey. If we obtain enough completed surveys representing a state, province or organization we will provide special break-out analyses.

This page will soon host a variety of farm market and agricultural tourism related research activities including a posting of research.
